Cheddar Pecan Biscuits

The holiday season (October-December) is a great time to do many things with friends and family. For me, most of those things are done in the kitchen. 


Holidays are stapled together in our household with my family's recipe for Cheddar Pecan Crackers. These tasty treats are fun to make and taste great! 

So try them out, and tell a friend! Just don't tell my momma I gave you the secret recipe ;) Enjoy!



             Pecan Cheese Crackers


1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese (grated)


2 sticks butter


3 cups self rising flour


½ teaspoon cayenne pepper


2 cups finely chopped pecans





Cream butter &cheese together until well blended.  Add flour & pepper, mix thoroughly.  Add chopped pecans.  Shape into rolls, wrap in waxed paper, refrigerate 1 hour & cut ¼ inch slices.  Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in 350 degree oven for 15-20 min., or until crackers hold shape.  Do not brown.  Yield: 3 dozen
