Just have to Rant

I'm sorry readers, but I must put this trivial thought/rant/peeve out on the blog. Read if you will, but let it be known that in my opinion...

IT'S OK TO WEAR LEGGINGS AS PANTS

Stop complaining about girls wearing leggings "as pants" on rainy days. 

I see so many Facebook statuses, tweets, overheard convos, and other blogs that make fun or compulsively condemn girls who wear black leggings during a rainy day.

I run in leggings during the winter months, and I must say, if i'm going to be running 5-6 miles in those babies, you better believe they are comfortable and warm. So yes, if I find it comfortable, I'm going to wear it.

Who are these other people who say we shouldn't wear what we want? That we shouldn't wear what we think is comfortable, efficient for the weather, and in some senses, very fashionable. Under a long T, a jacket, a cardigan. It works, people. 

If they bother you, stop looking at them, analyzing the person in them, and ultimately judging them. It's an acquired fashion statement, like boys in skinny jeans...

(Which, by the way, is my equivalent to your all's pet peeve of leggings.)  

So, the next time you see a girl in leggings walking to class in the rain because they are comfortable, warm, and fit into our rain boots, I ask you to stop staring and judging. They probably are/have at one time commented about something you wore that you thought looked/felt completely acceptable.

Keep your opinions to yourself if they are negative, and leave the leggings alone.
