It's a Saturday. A lazy one at that. You get up to greet a chilly sunny morning, hit the streets and run 7 miles until your lungs are sore and your feet want nothing more than to be propped up in front of the Fresh Prince marathon on TBS. And your stomach grumbles something like... "FEED ME!"
What better way to enjoy this feeling of complete relaxation than with homemade Belgian Waffles.
I used THIS recipe, because as my grandma always says- Nothing tastes as good as preparation, and sweet anticipation. Made the night before, this dough rose overnight.
Turning the griddle on, I use my time wisely- mashing bananas and slicing up pecans to mix in the batter.
Place the mixture in the griddle, turn the handle and wait until the *ding* signals a perfectly good waffle is ready to be devoured...
Even my brother agreed...
They were delicious!
Follow it up with some afternoon snow showers, and I concluded a lovely lazy Saturday.
How was everyone's weekend?
Look at that beautiful blanket of snow!!! What a perfect Saturday!
