I came across this picture on the Web this morning, and It really made me want a good cup of coffee
But I am too lazy to get up and make any, let alone go out and purchase a cup. So, being the creative writing minor I am, I thought I would just write about it! Enjoy!
My lips trap the porcelain
between succulent taste buds
bustling on the tip of my tongue
Jumping like the raindrops
that hit the vacant sidewalks
at dusk
Awaiting the sugar
and rich caffeine to pierce
my nerves with jittery
excitement, yet relaxed comfort.
My throat, a tunnel to my core
is the pathway for the frothy crema
currently masking my obligations
with saccharine Hazelnut
